Fall Is Here

27 Oct

Fall is officially here. Even though it has been a tad bit warm in NYC, today is 73’…but even with the warm front here, all around me is all the signs of fall. Beautiful changing leaves, lots of winter squash in the supermarkets, pumpkin pies baking at my Mother’s. Out of all the 4 seasons, I enjoy Fall and Spring the most. Not too hot or cold and it’s always a transition and preparation for the harsher seasons.
We recently went apple picking! Maya’s first time, and she had a blast running up and down to orchards rows, picking up apples, touching the grass, trying her first whole apple. It was a nice escape from the city life…as Maya doesn’t get to run free in grass very often. I recommend making it a Fall tradition, and you go home with fresh crisp organic apples! We left with almost $20 worth!
We will be back to Solebery Orchards next year, and maybe during the summer for berry picking!
